The "Sunrise Bit Method" is a technology used in shield construction that allows for the safe and efficient remote exchange of cutter bits during ultra-long-distance excavation, in complex ground conditions where bedrock appears, in ground with continuous large boulders, or in ground where ground improvement is difficult. It is equipped with a rotating body that has multiple cutter bits within the spokes of the shield machine.
